Re: Rutgers Business School Lawsuit Allegations

Dear Under Secretary Murphy,

We write to bring to your attention a news report that the Human Resource Manager for Rutgers University Business School has brought a whistleblower lawsuit against the school alleging that Rutgers created fake job placements for its MBA graduates in order to inflate its rankings.[1]

We request that the Veterans Benefits Administration work with the New Jersey State approving agency to conduct a risk-based survey to include an assessment of the allegations and whether the school engaged in deceptive or misleading recruiting practices, as defined in 38 U.S.C. 3696.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

William Hubbard
Vice President for Veterans & Military Policy
