Veterans Education Success Announces the Addition of Will Hubbard
Washington, D.C. – Carrie Wofford, President of Veterans Education Success, announced today that Will Hubbard has joined the organization as Interim Chief Policy Officer. Hubbard’s hire is the first as the organization expands to meet the increasing demand for advocacy for student veterans and military-connected students in higher education.
Hubbard brings more than a decade of experience in policy strategy and advocacy on behalf of the military and veteran community in higher education. He has worked with both government agencies and private industry in a variety of capacities. Most recently, Hubbard served as the Chief of Staff for Student Veterans of America, where he previously served as the Vice President of Government Affairs, during which he led a coalition of veterans and military service organizations that secured the Forever GI Bill in 2017.
“We’re very excited to have Will on board,” said Carrie Wofford, President of Veterans Education Success. “Will’s depth of experience and keen policy acumen will complement our growing team of seasoned experts.”
Hubbard also serves on the American University President’s Council on Diversity and Inclusion, and the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Interagency Task Force on Veterans Small Business Development. Hubbard holds a B.A. in International Relations from American University and a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from the University of South Florida.
In the coming months, Veterans Education Success plans to broaden the policy roles within the organization and hire more staff to ensure career and education success for service members, veterans, and their families.
