Statement by Veterans Education Success (August 5, 2020) – “Veterans Education Success regrets to inform you that this report has been removed. Although we are confident in our findings about the number of ads that for-profit schools ran on the Facebook Media Library before COVID-19 hit and during the immediate months following the coronavirus-inspired stay-at-home orders, and although we captured hundreds of example screenshots of ads by for-profit schools on Facebook’s platforms, we regretfully failed to capture screenshots of every single ad. Some schools are now disputing the number of ads they ran on Facebook. Because Facebook does not store ads beyond a couple of months, we cannot prove the number of ads the schools ran. Therefore, the report has been taken down from our site.”
