Nathan Winshall joined Veterans Education Success as a Law Fellow in August 2023. Born and raised in Boston, he earned his BA cum laude from Tulane University in 2017, majoring in Public Health and Political Economy. Nathan then spent three years in New York City, first as a city employee investigating allegations of police misconduct, and then as a paralegal for the Brooklyn Defender Services.
Nathan graduated from Georgetown University Law Center cum laude in 2023. During his time there, he interned for the Mid-Atlantic Innocence Project, the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia’s Special Litigation Division, and the New York Civil Liberties Union. He also spent a semester as a student advocate in the Appellate Courts Immersion Clinic, where he helped write briefs in cases before the Federal Courts of Appeal for the First, Ninth, and D.C. Circuits. Working in this clinic sparked Nathan’s passion for consumer protection.
Outside the office, Nathan enjoys cooking, reading, and watching the Boston Celtics.
